BGS Monthly Meetings

The BGS holds a meeting on the second Saturday each month at the SOUTHCOURT COMMUNITY CENTRE, Prebendal Avenue, Aylesbury (map).

In June these meetings are usually replaced with an expert guided tour of Bucks towns and villages, or visits to local sites of interest.

There is no meeting in August or December.

The typical agenda for our meetings is:

2.00 to 2:30 Computing and Genealogical questions by either members or Eve McLaughlin.

2.30 to 3.30 talk by a guest speaker.

3.30 to 4.00 light refreshments and social gathering.

At each meeting we set up a well stocked bookshop with key sections of our library including selected reference books.

The speakers presentations cover both basic topics for those new to family history research, as well as more specific topics.

Non-members are welcome to attend our meetings (although a small entrance fee is charged).
