Comment: Hello I posted a message in 2009 but unfortunately had no response.. Does anyone have any family connections with the Pye family who lived at Bradenham Manor, Bradenham in the 17th century, which is near High Wycombe? There is a link to Leckhampsted in Bucks as well. I am a descendant and am tracing my family history which is fascinating . Sir John Hampden is an ancestor because Sir Robert Pye, one of my direct ancestors, married his daughter. Unfortunately Oliver Cromwell comes into the mix as well! Our family came to England with William the Conqueror, and had land in Wales and England. I am trying to confirm if the family who lived at Bradenham is linked with the Herefordshire branch.( Herefordshire was originally in Wales)..But to be more specific, obtain a link to Ireland as well! I know the family at Farringdon are from my branch as they are descendants of the Herefordshire branch of my family. Our family is very complicated!!! Thanks for any help, really appreciate it. Pauline

Comment: Hello, I am looking for information on the Churchill family of Steeple Claydon. My ancestor is a Yeoman named Joseph Churchill who married an Anne Chaloner. Some research books online give him as the nephew of Ralph Palmer of Little Chelsea and a cousin of Sir Ralph Verney, 1st Earl Verney; and also the (White family of Steeple Claydon)? The books do not go into detail as to how they are related. Joseph died in 1707, apparently her was killed trying to halt a carriage. His fathers will states that they have cousins, a William and Joseph Townsend of Princes Risborough, Bucks but I cannot find any info. I would be interested if anyone could shed some light as to how these family's are connected.
